Aleksandar Stevanovic

Dr. Stevanovic is an Associate Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He is an ASCE Fellow and Fulbright Specialist for Traffic Control Systems. His research interests cover a variety of subjects including traffic signal control, intelligent transportation systems, multimodal and sustainable operations, transportation simulation modeling, etc. He has published more than 230 journal (90+) and conference (140+) papers and presented at more than 100 international, national, and state seminars, and professional meetings. He has been principal investigator on 40+ research projects for a total of ~ $5.2 million in funding and has authored dozens of technical reports for various transportation agencies, including TRB/NAS, FHWA, NSF, DOE, PennDOT, FLDOT, NJDOT, UDOT, UTA, and others. His interests in space engineering are related to changes in kinematics and conditions of movements in new extraterrestrial environment as well as traffic flow management of agents and opportunities for novel road infrastructure.
