Amin Rahimian

Industrial Engineering Department

Amin Rahimian is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering, where he leads the Sociotechnical Systems Research Laboratory. He earned his PhD in Electrical and Systesm Engineering at University of Pennsylvania, where he was affiliated with the GRASP laboratory and worked on problems at the intersection of networks and control theory.  Broadly speaking his works span various aspects of networks, data, and decision sciences, with applications ranging from robotic sensor networks to public health and have been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Human Behaviour, Nature Communications, the Operations Research journal, Automatica journal, and several IEEE transactions and control theory journals. Related to space, he is specially interested in robust autonomy and control of large-scale networked systems, satellite constellations and challenges of decision support in mission critical applications.
