Carl Snyderman, MD, MBA is Professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery with secondary appointments in Neurological Surgery and Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh.  Dr. Snyderman is a surgical innovator and pioneer of minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to the skull base, and Co-Director of the Center for Cranial Base Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  As a medical entrepreneur, Dr. Snyderman has multiple patents covering acoustic monitoring of surgical instruments, surgical navigation, and airway devices.  He is Chief Technology Officer of Respair (https://www.respairmed.com), a Pittsburgh-based medical device company that builds innovative airway products to support clinicians and patients in critical care environments.  Respair has developed an endotracheal tube that is suitable for high altitude (low gravity) environments.
