Tânia Amorim is T32 Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. In the field of space medicine, Dr. Amorim’s goal is to create a research agenda with the focus on mitigating microgravity-induced bone loss. Specifically, she aims to develop research studies investigating how bone marrow adipose tissue responds to microgravity, with the overarching goal of examining the interplay between microgravity and changes to the bone marrow microenvironment. Ultimately, the goal is to achieve a better understanding of the pathophysiology of microgravity-induced bone loss.
