Zhi Hong Mao

Zhi-Hong Mao is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. His space-related research interests include astrodynamics, spacecraft control systems, AI and machine learning, and human-machine systems. He received his dual Bachelor's degrees in automatic control and applied mathematics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1995, M.Eng. degree in pattern recognition and intelligent control from Tsinghua University in 1998, S.M. degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, in 2000, and Ph.D. degree in medical engineering and medical physics from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, Cambridge, MA, in 2006.
